YBR offers sponsorships to all fields for local universities, with the exception of Medical and Aviation (License) courses.

Malaysian citizens who have received an offer to pursue their studies and fulfill the following academic qualification requirements:-
i) Age of not less than 18 years when applying for PPBU Financing, and not more than 30 years upon graduation (Application for Skills Certificate, Diploma, Vocational Diploma, Bachelor and Professional Degree). Meanwhile, for Master and PhD applicants, candidates are required to graduate before the age of 45.
ii) Applicants must pursue their studies FULL TIME. PART TIME students are not eligible to apply.
Doctorate Degree (PhD)
- At least a Master's Degree with a CGPA of 3.00 and above or a Bachelor's Degree with a CGPA of 3.75 and above, or its equivalent.
- At least a Bachelor's Degree with a CGPA of 3.00 and above.
- At least a Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or Matriculation with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a Jayyid Jiddan or Mumtaz qualification that is equivalent to STPM.
- At least a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with a minimum grade of 5A and 4B (no C grade and below).
- At least have attained OR currently holding level 2 OR – other Skill Certificate need at least a passed in their SPM (with 2 Credits and Bahasa Malaysia subject) OR applicant must obtained Skill Certificate with a minimum of CGPA 2.75 and above.
- Obtained Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with a PASS in Bahasa Melayu and two (2) credits in any other subjects.
Doctorate Degree (PhD), Master's Degree, Bachelor's Degree and Diploma in all fields of study (recognised by MQA) AND Diploma of Skills Certificate Malaysia (SKM) recognised by the National Vocational Training Council (MLVK) or other Skills Certificates recognised by the Department of Skills Development (JPK) / MQA / related government bodies.
The Pembiayaan Pendidikan Boleh Ubah (PPBU) period is as follows:-
Doctorate Degree ; Maximum duration of sponsorship is 3 years and 1 year extension. YBR’s sponsorship only covers a maximum of 3 years while the 1 year extension is not sponsored.
Master’s Degree ; Maximum sponsorship period is 2 years.
Bachelor’s Degree ; Maximum duration of sponsorship is 4 years.
Diploma ; Maximum sponsorship period is 3 years.
Skills Diploma ; Maximum sponsorship period is 2 years.
Skills Certificates ; Funding is subject to the duration of the course offered by the institution.
* For courses that exceed YBR’s maximum sponsorship period, expenses for the remaining period of study are your OWN RESPONSIBILITY.
* YBR’s sponsorship period corresponds to the year the application is submitted.

No amendment can be made once the application has been submitted. Each application needs to be completed with correct and accurate information. Applications will be rejected if the information provided is incorrect.
You may check the result online via YBR website. Applicants will also be notified by YBR through email and SMS. All application will be processed after closing date.
The amount offered through the Pembiayaan Pendidikan Boleh Ubah (PPBU) / Scholarship corresponds to the level of study as follows:
a. Doctorate Degree: Up to RM18,600 per year
b. Master's Degree: Maximum of RM12,000 per year
c. Bachelor's Degree: Maximum of RM9,500 per year (RM6,500 for UiTM)
d. Diploma: Maximum of RM7,500 per year (RM5,000 for UiTM and Politeknik)
e. Skills Diploma: Up to RM30,000 (Up to 3 years).
f. Skills Certificate: : RM4,920 per level (the provision includes fees and cost of living).
PPBU application for the 2017/2018 session will be rolled out in 2 phases.
The first phase, between May and June 2017, is for Diploma, Skills Diploma and Skill Certificate applications.
The second phase, from July to October 2017, is for Bachelor’s, Professional, Master’s and Doctorate Degrees.
If offered, you may choose whether to continue with your existing sponsorship or accept Pembiayaan Pendidikan Boleh Ubah (PPBU) by YBR. Students are not allowed to accept from two sponsorships at one time.

No. PPBU applications can only be made during the sponsorship application period. Applicants are advised to create a YBR Portal Account first before applying.
No. YBR only provides sponsorship for Skills Certificate, Skills Diploma and Diploma, as well as Bachelor’s, Professional, Master’s and Doctorate Degrees.
Within three(3) to four(4) months after the closing date of the application.
Disbursements will be made after all documentation processes are completed and students have undergone the PPBU pre-acceptance program (Student Induction Program).
Eligible students may be offered to serve Bank Rakyat. This is however subject to YBR / Bank Rakyat's offer and discretion.
Malaysian citizens under the age of 50 at the time of application, employed, earning a salary above RM1,000.00 with a salary slip.
Self-employed individuals and pensioners are NOT ELIGIBLE to be guarantors.
